Congratulations, David Tobjasz!

The Pocono Mountains Flying Club would like to congratulate David Tobjasz on successfully completing his Multi-Engine Rating!

David has worked extremely hard to reach this level. It seems like only a few years ago that he came to our club as a zero-hour student learning to fly in a Cessna 150. Since then, he has progressed like lightning—earning rating after rating, becoming a CFI, and continuing to challenge himself at every opportunity.

David, we are incredibly proud of everything you have accomplished. Of course, now that you've finished lollygagging around getting all these ratings, maybe you can get back to your CFI duties at the club and teach the rest of us a thing or two! Just kidding... sort of.

All kidding aside, your hard work and dedication to aviation are something to be proud of, and it has been a pleasure for all of us to watch your journey from those first hours in a 150 to becoming a multi-engine pilot. The Pocono Mountains Flying Club would like to congratulate **Savanah Vose** on completing her first solo flight!

Your first solo is an incredible accomplishment and a moment you will never forget. Your entire flying club family is very proud of you—and we can only imagine how proud your uncle, CFI, Rich Vose, must be.

Congratulations to Tom DeRemer and Caroline Purcell on successfully passing their Private Pilot checkrides!

Many people think becoming a pilot is simply a matter of studying hard and learning to fly. While those are certainly major parts of the journey, anyone who has earned their wings knows there is so much more to it.

Here in Mount Pocono, you’re at the mercy of the weather. Lessons are postponed, cross-country flights are canceled, and progress can seem to come to a standstill. Then there are those inevitable maintenance issues that test everyone’s patience. Add to that the demands of work, family, and everyday life, and there are many moments when it would be easy to put the dream on hold.

But Tom and Caroline didn’t quit.

They stayed committed, pushed through every setback, and kept moving forward one lesson at a time. That perseverance, determination, and passion have brought them to this milestone.

As of today, they are both Private Pilots.

Congratulations, Tom and Caroline! Your flying family is incredibly proud of you. Enjoy every flight, continue learning, fly safely, and never lose the excitement that brought you to the left seat in the first place.

I’m proud to share that I am now a Private Pilot!

This has been a long journey filled with challenges, learning, and unforgettable experiences. I was fortunate to complete my training through the Pocono Mountains Flying Club, surrounded by some of the best instructors and mentors anyone could ask for. I took my test in 165FC and she never let me down

This accomplishment would not have been possible without the encouragement, guidance, and support of the aviation community that helped me along the way. Most importantly, I want to thank my wife for her patience, support, and belief in me throughout this entire journey.

Earning a Private Pilot Certificate has been a goal of mine for a long time, and I am grateful to everyone who played a part in helping me achieve it. The learning never stops, and I look forward to the adventures ahead.
