This one is going to look GOOD lit up. 👀💡

We recently made this custom metal sign for Bdog Bog, a cabin in Red River Gorge. 🌲

IDM designed the sign and was cut in-house on our CNC plasma table and finished in black powder coat— but the final touch is still coming. Lights will be installed behind the sign.

We can’t wait to see the finished setup!

Another repair saved instead of replaced. 🔧

This customer brought us an aluminum boat part with a major crack running right through two holes.

We were able to:
• Get the aluminum welded
• Machine the repaired area
• Re-drill the holes back in the correct locations
• Tap the holes back to the proper threads

The part left here repaired, usable, and ready to go — and most importantly, the customer was happy with the result.

We don’t just work with steel. Industrial Design Manufacturing also has aluminum welding and machining capabilities.

From cardboard template ➡️ ½” steel. 💪

These bucket ears got bent while the equipment was out on a job, so a local welder made a cardboard template and brought it to us.

We used it to cut brand-new replacement ears from ½-inch steel on our Boss CNC plasma table.

Our table can cut steel over 1” thick, giving us the capability to handle heavier equipment repairs, replacement parts, brackets, plates and more.

A little before & after from the shop! 🚜

A local farmer needed a replacement back plate for the cab of his John Deere tractor. The old one was worn out and leaving a big opening for dust, dirt, and hot air to make their way inside.

Wes fabricated a brand-new plate and added a rubber grommet around the opening to help keep the dust OUT and the A/C IN. ❄️🙌

Sometimes it’s not about finding a replacement part—it’s about making exactly what you need.

When the store-bought version keeps breaking, make a better one. 👏

This customer was tired of the stakes on his rain gauges breaking and wanted something much stronger that he could mount on top of a post.

So he brought us the problem, and we made the solution. 🔧

A heavier-duty steel stake and custom holder designed to keep his rain gauge where it belongs.

Not every project has to be big — sometimes it’s simply about making something that works better and lasts longer.

Before we had babies, we had Max. ❤️🐾

This one was a little more personal for us. We wanted something special to mark his resting place, so we made a custom memorial marker just for him.

Kendyl helped design and made these custom metal signs for her friends, then took them home and painted each one herself.

Built from scratch, right here in our shop. 🔩

These heavy-duty loader pins and locks are over 3” OD, and Wes machined every piece from raw material to the finished assembly.

Turning, boring, threading, fitting — all done in-house and built for a job where strength matters.

We love the projects that start as a chunk of steel and leave the shop ready to work.
