For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology - Our vision for education affects a broad swath of the Southern Illinois landscape by providing learning opportunities to elementary, junior high, and high school students across the region. We currently provide learning opportunities and for elementary students through school year training in conjunction with St. Mary’s, Summersville, and

Field grade schools while also seeding FLL teams. Our current team of 35 high school students are trained to become the best fabricators, machinists, or leaders they can be. Learning becomes truly powerful when tested under the crucible of competition. We host a sumo-bot competition with our elementary students, coach FLL competitors with our Junior High students, and hope to travel to two regional competitions. With every failed robot part, scrambled piece of code, or design challenge, our students become more and more invested in themselves and their future in STEM with each victory. The end results of the education and competition finally yield opportunity. In partnership with MVTHS and the Area Vocational Center our students have the opportunity for internships at local industries such as National Railway Equipment and Continental Tire. Furthermore, Continental has developed an internship program for maintenance techs and engineers that recruits exclusively from our program.

Last week, we hosted our RoboRams Robotics Camp, and it was a huge success! We had a great turnout of students who were eager to learn, create, and explore the exciting world of robotics.

A big THANK YOU to all of the parents who brought their students out and supported this opportunity. Your encouragement helps make programs like this possible.

We would also like to extend a special thank you to our RoboRams students who volunteered their time, shared their knowledge, and helped make this camp a memorable experience for everyone. We truly couldn't have done it without them!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this camp such a success. We are already looking forward to next year!

ROBOTICS CAMP STARTS NEXT WEEK!

June 8-12
MVTHS, Career Center/D Wing
Beginner : 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Intermediate: 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM

$40 camp fee due on June 8th, cash or check only
Make checks out to MVTHS Roborams

Please make plans to arrive a few minutes early on the first day so we can get everyone checked in and ready for a great week.

🚧 A quick travel reminder: Wells Bypass Road near Veterans Drive is currently closed for a bridge replacement project and is expected to remain closed during camp week. Please plan an alternate route and allow a little extra travel time for drop-off and pick-up.

We had a great time celebrating our Roborams students at last night’s awards night!

We want to give a huge thank you to all of the parents who came out and helped make the evening so memorable. This season was a big transition for us, growing from one team to four, and we truly couldn’t have done it without your support, time, and commitment.

We are so proud of all our students and everything they’ve accomplished this year.

WOW—what a day!

We were thrilled to host 50 teams from across the community for an action-packed Sumo Bot event. From intense matches to incredible teamwork, it was a day full of fun, learning, and competition!

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this event possible. We’re already looking forward to the next one!
