We have made some changes to this Season's Schedule. There was no way for us to anticipate the popularity of bringing stock car racing to Mountain Home! Our Mountain Home Enduro Series drivers that have joined our stock car classes have enjoyed everything about crossing over! The feedback we have been getting from them tell us that the safety upgrades they made to also participate in the Bomber and Hornet classes was worth every effort. The vast majority of our Enduro cars have joined us for at least one stock car night. They are enjoying the speeds of the prepped track surface, the increased longevity of their cars, and the growing racing family and fan base that have taken more of an interest in our track.
For these reasons, we want to give the fans, sponsors, and most of all, our drivers more of what they have fallen in love with. We will have more details as soon as we have them worked out, but here is the basic plan.
Our Enduro for July 30 will be changed to an open practice and BBQ. This will give our Enduro cars a chance to test any changes they want to make in preparation for joining the Stock Car classes full time. All other classes are welcome to come out as well and test & tune, or just get some extra track time to improve their driving. Maybe that Sponsor who has supported you all season long wants a chance to see first hand what you do to get their name in front of the crowd.
We are still working out the details for August 27th and the additional Show for September 10th's Air Force Appreciation Days Race, but we will promise that it will be a family friendly good time! Stay tuned for more information as we will be announcing the plans as soon as we confirm some details.

For the safety of our Fans, Volunteers and Drivers, we have decided to make some changes to this Saturday's schedule once again. With temps in the 90s it was one thing to bring everyone in early, in triple digits we have to consider health and safety issues. The good thing is, we were able to secure lights to run more of our event in the cooler evening temperatures. This will be better for the moisture content of the track (better racing), AND everyone's health and enjoyment.
We apologize for having to cancel our hot lap sessions, we will do our best to get you a limited number of safety laps if you need them.

Pits will open at 2pm
Driver Meeting at 4pm
Pack the track & Safety laps to follow (details will be given at Driver meeting)
Gates open at 5:30
National Anthem at 6:30, heat races to follow.

Share your suggestions for beating the heat in the comments below! You never know what Driver, Fan, or Volunteer you can help keep cool out there. Keep in mind we do not allow coolers in the stands, but have made arrangements for Vendors to meet your hydration needs!

Driver Update: edited for start times.
We have a few changes to Saturday's schedule and things you need to know in an effort to make things run a bit more smoothly. We are doing good on most things, but why settle for less than our potential?

1. Pits will open at 2pm
Driver Meeting at 4pm
Pack the track & Safety laps to follow (details will be given at Driver meeting)
Gates open at 5:30

2. Everyone that has a receiver or scanner to receive race control needs to bring them and use them every time you are on the track. All Radios must be tuned to Race Control and be used as receive only. This will help clean up lineup and restarting issues. Some drivers may have extra raceceivers for loan, so bring your own ear buds even if you don't have a radio.

3. Please review the general rules on our website for race procedures this week.

4. It's hot, the economy sucks, we are all over worked and understaffed. We come to the track to have a good time and set all of that aside for a few hours. I have seen this stress impact racing this week from the Atlanta cup race down through karts at the amusement park. So, let's remember to leave all of that frustration, impatience, and negativity at the gate. We came to do racecar things with our racecar friends - let's make the most of it.

To expand on point #2... the OEM "cage" on every production UTV is not much more that a glorified roof support. Invest in an aftermarket cage, wear your helmets, be prepared for accidents, fires, and emergency medical incidents.

Be smart and have fun this summer, folks!
