For Team 971, the 2026 REBUILT season was unforgettable. Mixtape participated in competitions at Half Moon Bay, Central Valley, NorCal Champs, and the Archimedes Division at the FIRST Championship.

This season we were proud to earn:

We are really grateful to everyone that helped us during the season, including our mentors, families, alumni, sponsors, volunteers, and alliance partners. Without you, none of this would have been possible.

In Memory of Zach Marks
It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Zach Marks, a beloved Spartan Robotics alumnus and mentor, who died in a car accident.

Zach will be remembered for his innovative spirit—most notably designing our 2017 robot's paintball gun-based shooting mechanism—and for the warmth and wisdom he brought to our team. A military veteran, Zach enriched our community with stories from his service and a genuine passion for mentoring the next generation of engineers.
In recent years, Zach continued to pursue his love of robotics through BattleBots, working on Tantrum and Blib alongside several of our mentors and alumni. His creativity, dedication, and generous spirit touched many lives within our team and the broader robotics community.
Zach's legacy lives on in the students he inspired and the innovations he helped bring to life. He will be greatly missed.

End summer right at the ballpark! Join us for an unofficial back-to-school event at the Giants game on 7/29. $20 tickets, open to anyone in the MVHS community. All proceeds go to MV Robotics. Tickets will be transferred digitally shortly after payment to the Venmo account.
