Expert engineers came together to exchange production experience, challenge approaches, and go deep into the decisions behind real data systems.

🔵 Luis Chavarría, Senior Data Analyst at Factored, shared how dbt snapshots can power email remarketing in fintech, creating a system to continuously re-evaluate prospects as their risk profiles change.

🔵 Robinson Campo, Data Engineer at Bold, went deep into Lakehouse governance, showing how dbt, LF-Tags, and the Medallion Architecture can enable automated, fine-grained access control without adding friction for engineering teams.

Factored brought production-grade AI, machine learning, and data engineering into every part of PyCon Colombia 2026.

Through workshops, technical talks, expert interviews, and conversations at our booth, we explored how AI systems move from experimentation to production.

The workshops covered AI agents, MCP, tool use, and multi-agent decision-making, alongside scalable PDF data extraction using hybrid LLM pipelines and deterministic guardrails.

Our talks focused on GenAI-powered recommender systems and how Factored engineers turn AI ambition into reliable production systems. In our expert interview, we discussed the path from advanced research to ex*****on under real business constraints, and how engineers can grow through ownership, mentorship, and high-impact technical work.

Together, these activations reflected the kind of work we do at Factored: applying technical rigor and sound judgment to complex AI and data challenges. Thank you to everyone who joined a session, visited our booth, or connected with our team.
