Enjoyed the Axios virtual-event today “A conversation on COVID-19 testing post vaccines”. Some of the world’s foremost experts discussed the current state of testing for COVID-19 and what we need to do to ensure our society safely gets back to work, school, and life.

Jennifer Nuzzo from Johns Hopkins discussed the need for sufficient disease surveillance across regions and populations
Michael Mina from Harvard suggested the need for entrance screening for schools and offices – this will reduce spread of infection by 90%
Deepak Nath from Siemens highlighted that COVID-19 will be with us for a while, he stated 25% of the US population are kids and they are not eligible for vaccination till the end of 2021.
Michael Osterholm University of Minnesota said we need to continue to make testing readily available so we can ensure schools and travel is safe
