What started as a completely blank wall is now a custom fireplace feature built to be the true centerpiece of the home. Framed out, built up, and finished floor to ceiling with hand-placed stone — all intentionally designed to draw your eye straight up to those soaring 20 ft ceilings.

But what really makes this space feel complete is how everything ties together. The surrounding board and batten on the stair wall carries that same structure, rhythm, and detail across the entryway — creating a seamless, timeless look that feels like it was always meant to be here.

On both sides of the fireplace, custom cabinetry brings balance and brightness, topped with rich walnut for just the right amount of warmth and contrast. Hidden storage below keeps everything functional without sacrificing the clean aesthetic — and yes… no cords in sight! Thoughtful planning allowed us to conceal everything while still keeping power accessible inside.

And those shelves… solid walnut, custom fit, and designed to float perfectly within the space. No shortcuts — just real wood, real craftsmanship, and attention to every detail.

This is the kind of space that stops you in your tracks the second you walk in… And to think—this all started as a completely blank wall. Did you see that before photo?! What an absolute transformation!

We took an empty, overlooked living space and turned it into a full custom fireplace feature wall designed to be the true centerpiece of the home. This fireplace was built out, framed, and then each individual stone was placed from floor to ceiling. We intentionally built this to draw your eye all the way up to those soaring 20 ft ceilings. Clean, bold, and timeless.

On both sides, we brought in balance & brightness with the custom built-in cabinetry, topped with rich walnut that adds just the right amount of warmth and contrast. Tons of hidden storage below, while keeping everything looking clean and intentional. Also see how there’s no cords?! Thoughtful planning allowed us to hide all the cords within the build but still have access to power within the cabinets for gaming consoles & such.

And we can’t forget about those shelves… solid walnut, custom fit, and built to float perfectly within the space. No shortcuts here—just real wood, real craftsmanship, and attention to every single detail.

Now let’s be real—projects like this don’t happen without the right setup. We had to bring in the big girl scaffolding to safely work at that height. You simply can’t pull off builds like this without the proper tools, proper safety equipment, and a serious respect for the phrase “trust the process” (swipe to the last photos to see the scale of this build)
