If you know someone that needs a new unit before the end of the year, I can get them $800 off of 17 seer equipment as a TVA contractor, in $2000 off for federal tax credit. In fact, we just quoted a 17 seer, 3 ton American Standard heat pump with a side discharge for $7200. If anyone knows what the minimum cost is for basic 3 ton heat pumps right now, most companies are charging over $7000 for a 14 seer. The TVA and Federal benefits end at the first of the year, so this is a great opportunity to take advantage if you need a new one.

Sales technicians versus service technicians

Service technicians are paid more by the hour because they are trained with several years of experience and they know what they’re doing. They can find your problem quickly and save you a ton of money in money on repairs and unnecessary replacements.

Sales technicians are usually relatively young and/or inexperienced, and are taught more the skillset of upselling than they are taught how to diagnose your equipment and make proper repairs . They rely heavily on commission sales because their hourly wages are lower. It’s easier to recommend selling something if you don’t have the skill to repair it.

The large companies utilize sales technician models. They spend millions of dollars in marketing to get you to call and they make up that money by training and dispatching professional sales technicians.

Companies that have lots of 5 star Google reviews that have several mentions where that company saved their customers money on repairs versus how many mentions of installations they did is a good way of knowing if you’re dealing with a company that has your best interest at heart.

I am proud to say that our company is built on training actual service technicians, and does not participate in the sales technician training model! We pay our technicians very well to find your problem and to fix it so that you don’t have to replace it unless it’s absolutely necessary.

Dear friends and family,

Extremely important reminder!

If you have not had your home or business AC system serviced yet, I would highly recommend that you do so before you turn it on which is going to be very very soon. Especially if you have ceiling vents which typically means the air handler (1/2 of your central heat and air) is located in the attic or a closet above!!! Every AC system has a condensation drain which can produce 2 to 5 gallons of water per day. If you have a clogged up drain, that much water will back up and potentially overflow into your ductwork or into the ceiling below, which can cause very expensive home repairs. Dirty coils and dirty filters can cause compressor failure and refrigeration leaks. Turning on your AC system without checking your refrigerant can cause your coil to freeze if you lost refrigerant over the winter, and when that large block of ice melts, you’re at the mercy of gravity, and wherever that water drops down to.  Save yourself the potential of thousands of dollars in equipment and home repairs by the affordable cost of a simple maintenance.

Two HVAC guys walk into a bar. Bartender says you guys look so clean. Did you actually do any work today? The technicians replied with a smiley face, yeah man we sold 4 new systems today and didn’t have to fix a thing. Bartender replies, well since you guys are here would one of you mind changing out a filter for me?Technician replies; no sir that’s beyond our level of expertise, but for $20,000 we will change out that system and throw in the filter for free! 😂
