I’m bringing cameras to the job site tomorrow! I’m going to capture layout, and installing racking. The job is a single story concrete tile roof. The system is made of of (28) 330Watt Trina modules. There’s two identical arrays. Two rows of seven. Should be a fun one. Batteries are charged, cooler full, and forecast is sunny and 72 degrees. This The Way.

JANUARY 2018 This Month In Pictures is brief because of weather and holiday there wasn't much ops. A groundmount, some presites, a remove and replace, and a water filled j-box.

BACKFILLING: this seems like a simple task, but there's a right way and a wrong way. I hope this helps. Blue skies, Jeff

TRENCHING. Here's a whole body workout that makes you sleep like a log. This trench is brought to you by Red Bull energy drink. Lol 😂

Cutting/trimming rails. A nice finishing touch is popping in the end caps. Looks sharp.

The next day concrete will be hard. Break out your string line and bubble level. The height of the poles is much to difficult to explain in a FB post but check your plans for max height. Cut all the poles in the back row to a higher height such that they are all level. Cut the front poles similarly. The horizontal cross poles are now installed and torqued down. Your STRUCTURE is now complete. It resembles the uneven bars in gymnastics. Racking is up next!

At this point you'll need to pass your city inspection before you pour concrete. I usually schedule concrete for the last appointment of the day and hope my inspection will be before that. The concrete pour usually takes less than a half hour. If you are using concrete bags obviously it'll take much longer. I highly suggest looking into the cost of concrete delivery and a pumper. Most ground mounts this will cost about $500 in concrete and $250 for the pumper. Make sure the dirt is pushed back away from the holes. Then put your string line back up and place your polls into the holes. You will need a plumb level as shown in the pictures to make sure the poll is level in two axis. This can be a little bit of a challenge to make sure that the polls are not only plumb but they are also all touching the string line. You have plenty of time the concrete takes a long time to set up. After this is done move on to something else because that concrete it's gonna take about a day to cure
