Thanks to our site crew’s dedication to detail and our operations team’s skilled leadership, Hamel Contracting is ensuring that all the key architectural elements are expertly retained and renovated at The Cheech Museum and Gallery project in Downtown Riverside.

Check out the progress on some of these special projects:
- Meticulous removal of old carpet paneling and glue that was covering the original midcentury plexiglass stairwell features.
- Delicate, by hand restoration of the signature… and massive Architectural Concrete Doves that embolden the main entrance.

Experience:
• Project Engineer preferably with Public Works Construction

Job Skills:
• Development of submittal logs and evaluation/distribution of returned submittals for construction or coordination.
• Create “Requests for Information” (RFI’s) and manage responses for cost and/or schedule impacts.
• Work with Project Manager to evaluate impacts to project budget and schedule resulting changes in the work, administration of the contract, or field conditions.
• Manage the change order process and work with the project team to finalize change order requests for submission.
• Able to write an email or letter- writing and grammar is critical

Qualifications:
• Be competent in reviewing specifications & plans.
• Must be extremely organized, accurate, detail-oriented and dependable
• Must be proficient on the computer, including relevant software such as Procore, Microsoft Projects, Microsoft Excel, Work, Outlook, and Bluebeam.

• Estimate labor and material for specific tasks

• Excellent interpersonal skills as well as written and verbal communication skills
• Work closely with construction manager
• Must have valid Driver's License
