From screened-in porch to a beautiful 4-seasons retreat!

We took this back deck and completely transformed it. Turning what was once a simple screened-in porch into a stunning full extension and 4-seasons room that can be enjoyed year-round.

We’re proud to have teamed up with amazing local businesses to bring it all together: Nelson Electric for electrical work, Kelly Heating and Cooling for climate control, Flipped Out Furniture for the perfect finishing touches inside, and Lemon Landscaping for the outdoor beauty.

This project is proof that shopping local creates spaces that truly feel like home. 🏡✨

We’re proud to have played a part in restoring one of Muscatine’s most beautiful landmarks – the W**d Park Pond! Our team rebuilt the deck to provide a safe and welcoming space for visitors and assisted in setting the brand-new fountains that bring life and movement back to the water.

A bit of history: W**d Park has been a staple of Muscatine’s community for over a century. Once the site of the Musser family estate, it was gifted to the city to create a public park for all to enjoy. Today, it continues to be a gathering place where families and friends connect with nature and each other.

This project was a true community effort:
✅ ZWB General Construction – Deck rebuild & fountain setup
✅ Heur Construction – Expert concrete work
✅ Nelson Electric – Electrical installation for the fountains

Together, we’re helping preserve and enhance this historic park for generations to come!

Preserving Local History in Muscatine 🛠️

We're proud to be performing light maintenance work on one of Muscatine’s most iconic structures — the Historic County Barn at Discovery Park.

Built in 1926, this impressive 40x60 ft barn was originally designed as a dairy barn for the County farm, home to an award-winning Holstein herd. What sets it apart is its stunning 42-ft high "free span" Gothic-style hay mow — a revolutionary design for its time, purchased from Louden Industries of Fairfield, Iowa.

This barn is believed to be one of the largest Louden barns ever built — and the only one open to the public. We’re honored to help preserve its legacy for future generations to enjoy.

We're working on the finishing touches for Krave Bar & Grill! Krave is gearing up for a soft opening toward the end of this month, and we can’t wait for the community to see it!

Here's what our crew delivered on this project:

✔️ Built multiple custom bar structures
✔️ Completed a full interior layout rework, including demo of old walls and installation of new framing
✔️ A top-to-bottom paint job to refresh the entire space
✔️ Installed roughly 3,000 sq. ft. of brand-new vinyl flooring

Special shoutout to our trusted subcontractors Nelson Electric and Kirk Butcher Plumbing & Heating for their excellent work helping to make this transformation happen!

New Deck at W**d Park

We recently completed this spacious deck for the City of Muscatine at W**d Park, creating a safe and inviting space for visitors to enjoy.

ZWB was responsible for the construction of the deck and worked with other local concrete companies on the sidewalk and concrete areas.

In honor of national Hire A Veteran Day we’d like to shine some light on these two gentlemen, Tom and Rick.

Tom (left) was inspired to serve the country after the tragic events of 9/11 and Rick (right) enlisted to support his younger brother who was nervous to do so by himself.

These guys show up every day and work hard no matter the conditions and we're extremely proud to have them on our crew. Thank you for your service gentlemen!
