🧊Frozen Pipes? We Know How Stressful This Is. ❄️
With temperatures dropping into the single digits, we’ve been getting a lot of calls about frozen pipes. We completely understand how frustrating and worrying that can be, especially when it’s cold enough to freeze everything.
Right now, when temperatures are this low, there isn’t always a safe or effective way to thaw pipes until things warm up a bit. But there are a few important steps you can take to protect your home and prevent bigger problems:
Here’s what you can do right now:
• 🚰 Keep faucets slightly open (both hot and cold) to relieve pressure in the pipes
• 🔥 Turn up the heat in your home, even overnight
• 🚪 Open cabinet doors under sinks to let warm air reach plumbing
• 🚽Gallon jugs of water can be used to flush toilets (pour water quickly directly into bowl)
• 🧊 Do NOT use open flames or torches to thaw pipes, this can cause serious damage or fires
• 🚨 If a pipe does burst, shut off your main water supply immediately
Once temperatures rise, we’ll be able to safely assess, thaw, and repair frozen lines as needed and we’re ready to help when that time comes.
In the meantime, please know we’re here to answer questions, offer guidance, and help you plan next steps. Stay warm, stay safe, and thank you for trusting us during this deep freeze 🤍
