The company was founded approximately 5 years before actually being established in 2016 as "GoferWood Construction". The owner/founder of the company chose this name because in the book of Genesis 6:14 God Told Noah to build the ark out of Gopher Wood. Reading and wondering how strong Gopher Wood must have been in order to weather the mighty storm, our founder knew this was the name for his compan

y. It was later understood that the correct spelling for its intended meaning was gopher wood and not gofer wood, which prompted the name of the company to be changed to the current and correct "Gopher Wood Construction"
