"We are so grateful we reached out to Preece after another company dropped the ball for us. We were having trouble with our air conditioner giving error signals and shutting off following a refrigerant line repair made by another company. Three different technicians from the other company came out to assess on three different occasions and each one had a different answer for us as to what could be wrong, with the final verdict being that we just needed a new AC unit and even sent out their sales rep to us. We wanted a second opinion and really wanted a small, family-run company and are so grateful we found Preece. The receptionist at Preece kind and helpful over the phone and got us promptly scheduled. Tyler from Preece arrived on time and was very personable and professional. When he checked our filter and we were shocked how dirty it was. He said this could be the reason for the error message because of the way the system would be overworked. How had none of the other technicians checked on that, let alone how had it been missed on our seasonal tune-up which had also been performed by the other company only a short time before!? Tyler proceeded to do a thorough evaluation of our AC unit and also carefully washed it, always cheerful and easy to talk with. He could find nothing wrong with the unit and said he felt confident the dirty filter was to blame. This seemed too good to be true but this was three months ago and the unit has worked like a charm ever since Tyler came out! To say that we are delighted that we only had to pay for a $30 filter vs. a $8000 new AC unit would be an understatement! Thank you so much to Tyler and the Preece company for having ethics and integrity in an industry that seems only too eager to cut corners or oversell. We would, and will, absolutely use Preece again in the future and have already recommended them to family and friends! "
