To address the need for readily available test kits manufactured within the United States of America, we now present New Vision Diagnostics LLC, a manufacturing entity based at our headquarters in Naperville, Illinois, USA.

New Vision Diagnostics essentially utilizes Orochem's robust manufacturing strengths with Vision Biotechnology's validated and well-established technical product portfolio of laboratory tests for clinical chemistry. These laboratory test kits include (IVD) test kits such as PCR based laboratory developed tests (LDT) kits and rapid test kits with lateral flow devices (LFD). The Rapid Test Kits are now being validated for FDA approval testing and being placed through the process of 510K approvals.

Orochem Technologies Inc. is proud to announce the launch of an independent new business entity, New Vision Diagnostics LLC.
This new venture draws upon the core strengths of Orochem Technologies and Vision Biotechnology to address the current gaps in manufacturing and offering diagnostic test kits, laboratory-developed tests (LDTs), and rapid test kits in the United States of America.

New Vision Diagnostics, based in the United States, enables the manufacturing of molecular diagnostics and rapid test kits utilizing Orochem’s strength and infrastructure combined with Vision’s R&D excellence in molecular and rapid diagnostics.

Customized synthetic oligonucleotides are the key components of Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) kits utilizing a qPCR. Orochem has combined its oligonucleotide synthesis capabilities with advanced purification expertise to develop robust analytical and preparative HPLC methods tailored for LDT applications. Our Reliasil C8 300 Å column is central to this process, delivering reliable separation of full-length products from impurities such as truncated sequences and salts.

Oligonucleotide Case Study 2: Klebsiella pneumoniae Synthetic Primer

Achieve Exceptional Primer Purity with Orochem's High-Performance Liquid Chromatography Columns

Using our advanced Reliasil C8 300 Å HPLC column, we successfully increased the purity of a synthetic Klebsiella pneumoniae primer (synthesized in-house) from 70% to an outstanding 99%. High-Purity Synthetic Primers and Probes for Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) Kits

Customized synthetic oligonucleotides are the key components of Laboratory Developed Test (LDT) kits utilizing a qPCR. LDT kits typically consist of forward and reverse primers and labeled probes. Running multiple Real-Time PCR assays with these kits mandates very high-purity primers and probes—often exceeding 95% purity, which presents significant purification challenges post-synthesis.

To address this, Orochem has combined its oligonucleotide synthesis capabilities with advanced purification expertise to develop robust analytical and preparative HPLC methods tailored for LDT applications. Our Reliasil C8 300 Å column is central to this process, delivering reliable separation of full-length products from impurities such as truncated sequences and salts.

In the coming weeks, we’ll highlight how the Reliasil C8 300 Å column performs across various oligonucleotide sequences to optimize purity.

Case Study 1: pBR322 Pst I Synthetic Primer

In this case, an in-house synthesized pBR322 Pst I primer with an initial purity of 73% was purified using Orochem’s Reliasil C8 300 Å HPLC column. Following standard ammonium hydroxide deprotection, HPLC purification raised the purity to an impressive 99%, efficiently removing N–1, N+1, and other synthesis-related impurities.

We’re excited to welcome our summer interns to Orochem this week!

Hosting interns during the summer has long been a valued tradition for us. Over the years, we've had the pleasure of mentoring local high school graduates and college students—many of whom have gone on to publish their summer research findings. Today, several of our past interns are thriving as doctors, researchers, and managers in the food and pharmaceutical industries.

This summer, we’re proud to host four local high school students and recent graduates. They’ll be joining various teams to gain hands-on experience in the lab, build foundational skills, and attend lectures on chemistry and chemical safety. We look forward to helping them learn and grow—and wish them a rewarding and inspiring summer with us!
