Tile is one of those trades that looks simple when it’s done well.

What you don’t see are the hours spent laying out every cut, balancing grout joints, wrapping corners, lining up veins, centering fixtures, and making dozens of decisions before the first piece ever gets set.

Long before the first foundation is poured or the first wall is framed, hundreds of decisions have already been made. Every room is measured. Every cabinet is planned. Every detail is coordinated with purpose.

There’s a brief moment on every project when all of the systems are in place, but nothing has been covered yet.

Electrical.
HVAC.
Plumbing.
Framing.
Insulation.

For a few days, you can stand in one spot and see the entire house all at once. Every decision is visible. Every detail can be inspected. Every trade’s work is on display.

It’s one of our favorite stages because this is where the performance of the home is built.

In a few days, drywall will go up and these details will disappear forever.
