DISPATCH LOOKING REMOTE ON SIDE
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Dispatcher. As a Dispatcher, you will play a crucial role in coordinating logistics and ensuring the smooth flow of operations. Your primary responsibility will be to communicate with drivers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Duties:
- Coordinate and schedule transportation activities, including dispatching drivers and assigning routes
- Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and any necessary information
- Monitor driver progress and track shipments using various systems and software
- Analyze transportation data to optimize routes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency
- Collaborate with internal teams such as warehouse, customer service, and sales to ensure seamless operations
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during transportation
- Maintain accurate records of all dispatching activities
- Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies
Requirements:
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management is preferred
- Familiarity with 3PL (third-party logistics) operations is a plus
- Proficient in using transportation management systems (TMS) and AS400 software
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of transportation planning principles and practices
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
