Knife of the Day: The" Kephart"....this is my take on the famous Kephart outdoor knife of the early 20th.century. Horace Kephart was an outdoorsman and author who favored simple design and user-friendliness. This pattern has been widely copied but never surpassed. I forged this 5" blade from O1 tool steel and mated it to Bubinga wood scales and my "Harlequin pattern " leather sheath. Nothing fancy, just a solid EDC performer.
