From a 1960s ranch to a forever home.

LeBlanc Building Restoration is currently transforming this well-built Paquette ranch in Manchester, NH. We reimagined each room to ensure every square foot works for modern living. While the home has great bones, the original layout no longer supported the way people live today, so we took it down to the studs and reimagined it from the inside out.

The original kitchen was small and closed off, with the basement staircase separating it from the main living space. We removed walls, added structural reinforcement, and relocated the staircase to open the kitchen into the living and dining areas, completely changing the flow of the main floor.

Throughout the rest of the home, we reworked the layout to make better use of the existing space, including creating a mudroom and office, adding a walk-in closet, expanding the primary bathroom, and relocating the guest bathroom.

And some of the most important work will eventually disappear behind the walls. The entire house was rewired, plumbing was updated with new copper piping, the heating system was upgraded with radiant floor heat, and new windows were installed as part of the renovation.

These aren’t the pretty pictures that come at the end of a renovation. This is what it looks like to take a solid home, strip it back, restructure it, and rebuild it for the way it will be lived in for decades to come.

WE’RE HIRING | EXPERIENCED RESIDENTIAL CARPENTERS (Southern NH & Middlesex County MA)

LeBlanc Building Restoration is growing, and we’re looking to add experienced residential carpenters to our team.

We specialize in residential remodeling, restoration, additions, kitchens and bathrooms, framing, decks, siding, trim, and general carpentry throughout Southern New Hampshire and Middlesex County Massachusetts.

We’re looking for carpenters with 3–5+ years of professional residential construction experience who take pride in quality craftsmanship and are comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Beyond strong carpentry skills, we’re looking for people who understand the bigger picture of a residential project. The right candidates have good judgment, think ahead, anticipate project and material needs, solve problems in the field, and understand how to keep work progressing efficiently from one phase to the next.

Responsibilities may include:

Residential rough and finish carpentry
Independently completing assigned scopes of work
Reading and understanding plans and blueprints
Planning and sequencing work efficiently
Anticipating and coordinating material and resource needs
Assisting with daily and short-term project scheduling
Identifying and resolving issues in the field
Coordinating with and supporting subcontractors on site
Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional job site
Communicating proactively about project needs and progress

Because our projects vary in size and scope, we’re particularly interested in well-rounded carpenters who understand how the different phases and trades of a residential project come together.

Qualifications:

3–5+ years of professional residential carpentry/construction experience preferred
Strong working knowledge of residential construction methods and practices
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to read and work from plans and blueprints
Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
Dependable, punctual, and consistent
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license
Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding construction work

Lead carpenter or working foreman experience is a plus. We’re also interested in experienced carpenters who are ready to take on more responsibility and grow into a lead role.

In this Haverhill, MA kitchen remodel, the original design called for relocating the powder room to make space for a boxed-in pantry. Once LeBlanc Building Restoration took over the design work, we saw an opportunity to make much better use of an underutilized room.

Instead, we created a dedicated walk-in butler’s pantry while preserving the main-floor powder room and creating space for a small library as well.

The new pantry keeps everyday essentials functional but out of sight from the main kitchen, including the microwave and a dedicated coffee station with a filtered-water faucet.

A thoughtful change in layout that gave the homeowners more usable space, more functionality, and a better flow without sacrificing an important feature of the home.

Haverhill, MA | Full Kitchen Renovation

A complete transformation from the ground up on this Haverhill project.

We removed approximately 1,600 sq. ft. of existing tile, engineered flooring, and hardwood, eliminated the baseboard heating throughout the home, and installed a new whole-house HVAC system.

The renovation included:
• 5” solid natural hickory hardwood flooring throughout
• A new 10’ operable awning window with a fully retractable screen
• A custom-built butler’s pantry
• Primecraft cabinetry, designed by Inspired Dzine
• A completely redesigned kitchen built around a brighter, more open and functional space
