Mitered corners or corner boards? Both can look great. Depends on the house and what the architect is going for.

I like how the mitered detail keeps the siding lines running around the corner. It takes more time to get the cuts right and keep each course lined up, but it’s a detail you notice.

And the measurement I couldn’t remember in the video: Artisan lap is 5/8″ thick. Standard HardiePlank is 5/16″. Twice the thickness, with a deeper shadow line.
