What a great day to be out at Percy Priest! Our Landscape Architect, DeMera Ollinger, recently joined Tennessee Environmental Council and other volunteers for a cleanup effort at Percy Priest Lake.

Here’s what DeMera had to say about the day:

“The weather was perfect, and TEC and the USACE had everyone set up for success with gloves, boats, and everything we needed to get to work.

It was great to see so many volunteers come out ready to help make the lake an even better place to enjoy. I’m so glad I got to be part of this much-needed effort, and I’m already looking forward to volunteering with TEC again!”

Nick Tuttle, PLA, and his daughter Charlie had a great time at the first annual Cleveland Park Fall Fest, hosted by the Cleveland Park Neighborhood Association over the weekend!
While they enjoyed the festivities, they couldn’t help but check out the newly updated courts. Collier was proud to help manage these improvements for Metro Nashville Parks and Recreation.

🎡 Fair season has officially arrived in Nashville!

While you’re enjoying the rides, you’ll be standing on a little piece of Collier Engineering’s work! Collier provided the planning, civil design, and construction support to transform Lot #2 - the area used for fair rides -into a flexible, accessible event space. Improvements included site grading, stormwater management, utility connections, lighting, and other infrastructure designed to support events just like this one.

We love seeing our work come to life - especially when it comes with funnel cakes and Ferris wheels. 🎠🎟️

Giving back to the communities we serve goes beyond the work we do every day. 🌎💙

This August, Summer and Troy from our Survey team rolled up their sleeves and volunteered with the Cumberland River Compact, helping with local stream and kayak cleanups across Middle Tennessee.

Together, Compact volunteers removed an impressive 1,291.77 pounds of trash from local waterways, helping keep the Cumberland River basin—and the communities surrounding it—cleaner and healthier.

We’re proud of Summer and Troy for representing Collier and giving their time to make a difference in our community!

Over the weekend, one of Collier Engineering’s youngest team members got to take her dad—Landscape Architect Nick Tuttle—to the grand opening of the new Event Pavilion and the beautifully restored Croquet Club at Centennial Park.

Nick may have provided the professional expertise, but we all know who was really there for the final inspection. And from what we hear, the improvements are officially Charlie-approved. ✅

We’re proud to have played a part in improvements to one of Nashville’s most iconic parks—and even happier when the next generation gets to see the finished product firsthand.

More affordable housing is opening its doors in Nashville! 🏘️

Park Point East brings more than 200 new affordable housing units to East Nashville as part of MDHA’s ongoing Cayce Transformation. Collier Engineering is proud to have contributed Construction Engineering & Inspection (CEI) services to a project helping strengthen Nashville communities and expand housing opportunities.

Collier Engineering is proud to have supported this project with a multidisciplinary team providing Survey, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, and Landscape Architecture services.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the project team and help bring a development like this from planning to construction. We look forward to watching The Hub at 607 take shape and contribute to the continued growth of the Madison community.
