Showing some love for our Colby!

Colby Gustafson is an assistant and mastering engineer for Infrasonic Mastering in Nashville, TN. Colby is a graduate of Shenandoah Conservatory of Music with a B.M. in Music Production and Recording Technologies with an emphasis on Jazz Electric Bass.

Colby first picked up bass at age 11 and immediately fell in love. Soon after, he found himself in multiple bands playing DIY shows around Northern Virginia. At 14 years old, Colby was hired at Rock Of Ages Music (ROAM) in Alexandria, VA as an instructor in their prestigious rock school. There, he began refining his critical listening skills to teach a variety of different instruments to musicians ages 9 and up.

Colby joined Infrasonic in 2021 as Piper Payne’s assistant, QC engineer and mastering engineer. As a member of the Infrasonic family, Colby continues to gain knowledge and experience on his journey as a mastering engineer. Always learning and sharing, Colby is driven to be helpful and supportive to those he works with.
