Introducing: Piper! The newest addition to our
collection of original Intellectual Property, Piper is a
hybrid creature/robot who travels the galaxy in search
of unique flora and fauna. He is a rod puppet with eye
articulation and rodded arms for puppeteer
manipulation.​

In the heart of Europe, between the Black Forest and the
Vosges, lies one of the most beautiful theme parks in the
world. Europa-Park is the largest theme park in all of
Europe. ANIMAX, in collaboration with Europa-Park, created
a stunning articulated version of Ed Euromaus; their beloved
mascot. With adorable blinking eyes and a talking mouth,
Ed, dynamically hosts a variety of exciting events throughout
the park.

In his personal time, Liam Nelson, one of our Fabrication
Specialists, creates incredible super suits. He’s creating a
lighter weight version of the Batman Beyond Batman suit.
Using a 3D printed mannequin, he patterned the entire bust
out of Eva foam. Next up, he will 3D print the mask and cast
up a rubber neck piece, finishing the entire costume in
perfection. Watch for Liam in this stunning suit at a con
near you. ​

In his spare time, Zachary Ramsey ( ), one of our sculptors whose passion and body of work center around monster
designs, has been working on a giant insect creature.​

​“What draws me to portraying insects as monsters mostly comes from the praying mantis. They have serrated claws, big oval eyes and
small mandibles that pull their food into its mouth. I feel they are almost alien-like in a very beautiful way.”​

​Zach will be participating in Monsterpalooza, a premier genre convention celebrating monsters, makeup, and creature design this coming
May at The Pasadena Convention Center so be sure to catch him at Booth Frankenstein 255!​
