That’s a wrap on an exciting summer for our internship program in North America! Over the past 10 weeks, we welcomed 10 interns across our Powder Coatings, Marine and Protective Coatings teams in Reading, Warsaw, Houston, Columbus and Nashville.

From Engineering and Quality Control to Supply Chain, Marketing and Procurement our interns gained meaningful, hands-on experience while contributing to real projects across the business. They also had opportunities to tour our manufacturing facilities, connect with leaders, volunteer in their communities and learn more about the many ways paint and coatings impact the world around us.

Jeff Klevering, Cluster Manufacturing and Supply Chain Director for Powder Coatings in North America, also joined the group for a business Insights session focused on our industry, the impact of our work and the importance of curiosity and continuous growth throughout a career.

We’re proud of everything this group accomplished and grateful for the initiative they brought to AkzoNobel this summer.

Our customer, Tiffany Yachts recently showcased our Awlcraft 3000 across a three-color application featuring Oyster White topsides, a Flag Blue hull and a Matterhorn White boot stripe.

The project demonstrates the depth, gloss and smooth finish Awlcraft 3000 can provide across complex yacht surfaces, helping every detail stand out. We are proud to see AkzoNobel Yacht Coatings featured on a project completed in Virginia, US.

Employees from our Global Film manufacturing facility in Lancaster, South Carolina, held a Let’s Color project last week benefiting the local Discovery School.

The project used 30 gallons of our Chemcraft wood coatings, with special tints to match the school’s selected colors. Together, volunteers helped revitalize the school’s outdoor amphitheater and basketball court, creating brighter, more welcoming spaces for students, staff and families.

Employee volunteers also went beyond painting, helping pressure wash school buildings and playground areas to improve the overall appearance of the campus.

Local community leaders and school representatives joined our employees to see the transformation firsthand, along with Maximilien Schreder, our General Manager of Film.

Thank you to our Lancaster Film manufacturing team, our Chemcraft colleagues, Wilsonart, Discovery School and the many community partners who helped bring this project to life.

Yesterday, AkzoNobel employees alongside Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell, McGavock High School, our customer Hoover Paint and community volunteers, helped bring a vibrant new mural to life outside the McGavock High School’s auditorium.

Designed by the school's art teacher, the mural celebrates the academic programs and career pathways they offer, helping students see the many possibilities available to them in fields ranging from aviation, the arts and STEM professions.

AkzoNobel donated 16 gallons of custom-tinted International protective coatings for the project. The high-performance coatings will help protect and preserve the mural so it can continue inspiring students and staff for years to come.

Recently, our Chemcraft team hosted an Introduction to Color training in Kansas City, Missouri, bringing together customers from Würth Baer Supply Company and Classic Industries for a hands-on stain matching workshop.

Led by our Distribution Training Instructor Kevin Ervin, the session focused on the fundamentals of color, stain matching and finishing techniques, helping participants strengthen the knowledge and confidence needed to achieve consistent, high-quality results for their customers.

At AkzoNobel, technical expertise goes hand in hand with innovation. Whether we're developing advanced coatings technologies or sharing practical knowledge through customer training, we're committed to helping our partners succeed.
