Union Ironworkers Local 492 Nashville, Tn.

Union Ironworkers Local 492 Nashville, Tn. The Ironworkers are a rare breed of people who have been designated as one of the worlds most dangerous professions. We are the elite!!

Local 492 Ironworkers are credited with enlarging Music City's unique skyline. The Bridgestone Arena, Shelby Street pedestrian bridge, Life & Casualty Tower, Music City Center, LP Field (Titans Stadium), The Nashville Convention Center, and Bass Pro Shops @ Opry Mills are to name a few. The Union Ironworker has long been stereo typed as the free spirited, brave, and most fearless of the union craf

tsman. We up hold our reputation of getting the job done safely and on time, while still making budget dead lines. Now we have taken our craft to the next level by opening our doors to our inactive troops. The Helmets to Hard Hats program was established to provide competitive paying jobs to our discharged troops, in exchange they would be able to learn a skilled trade.

Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing moms out there! We hope you enjoy your day, you have earned every second of it!

Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing moms out there! We hope you enjoy your day, you have earned every second of it!

Did you know the Iron Workers were the first building trades union to offer paid maternity leave benefits?

Because supporting Ironworker moms means supporting the future of our trade.

This Mother’s Day, we salute the strong women balancing motherhood and life in the ironworking industry. ❤️💪

We were excited to get the chance to accompany Specialty Construction leadership and represent Local 492 at the Associated General Contractors Annual Golf Classic. Could not have asked for nicer weather and great day of fellowship with one of our contractors and others in the industry!

Another successful retirees lunch was held. We look forward to these events each year, from the stories that are told, the laughs and everyone picks up where they left off like no time had passed. This one was bingo themed and the winners of bingo walked away with some good prizes. Thank you to everyone who came out for this event and shared the day with us!

Thank you to everyone who made it out today for the annual Union Sportsman Alliance clay shoot. Each year this event keeps growing and exceeding expectations. We had an awesome event and the best part is sponsoring a youth team and helping introduce them to the outdoors and Union trades all at once. One of our teams got top overall best shooting team today, and member Brycen Davidson won top shooter with a score of 95 out of 100. We hope everyone has a great weekend and a Happy Easter!
