Y’all know I deal with removing lead paint. Lead is very dangerous and something you should take serious because it’s most dangerous for children from pregnancy to six years old. Their body recognizes it as calcium and stores it in their bones and it’s there for life. When they’re older and going through stressful times, as a natural defense mechanism, the body releases it from the bones and it circulates through the body again until it goes back in the bones, all because the body is fooled into thinking the lead is something it is not. All while it is causing more damage to the bodies systems.
Those young years are formative years. The body is literally soaking things up like a sponge.
If the body got all the calcium it needed, later when problems arise, it would be getting the nourishment it needs.
Now, think about kids getting fed spiritually at an early age. They can be fed the right things or the wrong things. Both will be stored up and used at later points in their lives. Some will be harmful and cause lasting damage, and some could be regenerative and life giving. It matters what they get in the early years.

While this style is beautiful, please don’t use very old reclaimed wood with the paint still on it to build this yourself. Lead paint and kitchen tables do not go together. Learn to recreate it with modern paint or buy it new.

A true craftsman saved this home. This house caught on fire and the fire was contained by the work of a craftsman that went the extra mile during construction. This home has tongue and groove 1x6 behind the drywall ceilings. The extra support kept the fire from spreading into the attic.

We are excited to start the New Year off with an exciting announcement. For over twenty years we have been Carolina Lead Abatement, but since founding the company we have added many different services for our customers. We will be working under the name CLA Environmental now to better suit the work that we do. We are thankful for all of our customers that have been with us for so long. The only thing that is changing is the name. We will still be run and operated by the same family and crew that you have known for so long.

One of the groups we work with the most is the professionals in the real estate industry. When a buyer or seller discovers asbestos, lead paint or mold hazards they typically turn to their agent for recommendations on how to handle it. Some agents “know a guy” that can fix it for half the price without the regulation, but the majority have their clients best interests at heart and want to make sure they are protected in the long run. Make sure if you are buying or selling that you have one of the latter, you will sleep better at night. If they offer to cut corners for you, they will cut corners on you.
