We inspected a typical aging flat roof with ponding issues today. The water is leaking inside, down the walls, and everywhere. Conklin's 3lb closed cell foam is an excellent remedy for an old roof like this. The foam itself is impenetrable to water. Add a Beenchmark base coat and a PUMA XL top coat, you get an 18 year warranty, no more leaks, and up to 65% better energy efficiency! Average payback on a foam roof is 5 to 7 years.

One of the perks of this job is that you get to see "forbidden places", like the rooftop of downtown hotels. I love getting to see these kind of spots, and the inner workings of many different businesses. It makes life interesting! Oh, and by the way, I don't know how Batman gets past all the padlocks to get up on all those roofs...

We inspected the metal roof for East Nashville's Optimara green house facility today. What a great time! The facility is beautiful. They have over 2 million violets in stock that ship nationwide. They sell to Kroger, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Depot, etc. It is a family business on 37 acres, and owned by a Swiss and German family. Sorry, Optimara is not open to the public, but we had a great behind the scenes tour! Here are some images to share with you.
