I wanted to quickly share an update that means a lot to us. Last year, BlackBridge setup a scholarship to honor one of our best friends Michael Williams. It's been 3 years since we lost Mikey and we miss him every day. He was the most caring, fun and intelligent people that I knew. We want to use this scholarship to honor his legacy and invest in someone every year that embodies similar characteristics that made Mikey such a wonderful person and friend.

Since we began, many have asked how they can also help. This year, we put together an ambitious goal of $15,000 that we know we can achieve through your help.

CleanRobotics, a Pittsburgh based technology company, is developing a robot with the capacity to sort all garbage and recyclable materials that are fed into it. This fascinating invention is only a prototype at this point, but it could play an integral role in diminishing the contamination levels in recyclables. Contamination has plagued the recycling industry, causing commodity prices to drop and Material Recovery Facilities to close.
