This is a Single Deck Pallet of our Oak Firewood 🔥
Oak is great for any type of fire because it's very dense and will burn for a long time and give off high heat, believe it or not we were recently told it was "too hot"!!
It works especially well if you have a stove as the closed chamber will regulate air flow and keep the wood burning for longer or to mix with other woods that burn quicker, such as Birch 😊

A little post to educate others…

Type of wood

Some types of wood are better suited for burning in a fireplace than others. Hardwoods, such as oak, maple, and hickory, burn more slowly and produce less smoke than softwoods, such as pine and fir. Softwoods also tend to produce more sap, which can build up in your chimney and create a fire hazard.

Condition of your chimney

It is important to have your chimney inspected and cleaned regularly by a qualified professional. A buildup of soot and creosote can create a fire hazard, and cracks in the chimney can allow smoke and carbon monoxide to leak into your home.

Local regulations

Some municipalities have regulations on what types of materials can be burned in fireplaces and chimneys. It is important to check with your local fire department to find out what the regulations are in your area.

In general, it is safe to burn firewood found around your property in your chimney at home as long as you follow these safety guidelines:

Use only seasoned wood. Seasoned wood has been dried for at least six months and has a moisture content of 20% or less. Green wood burns poorly and produces a lot of smoke.
Split the wood into pieces that are no more than 6 inches in diameter and 16 inches long.
Start the fire with kindling and gradually add larger pieces of wood.
Never leave a fire unattended.
Have your chimney inspected and cleaned regularly by a qualified professional.
If you have any concerns about burning firewood in your chimney, it is always best to err on the side of caution and consult with a professional.
