📈 Simulation and Real-world Testing -- By simulating the dielectric parameters of various substrate materials, the researchers identified which materials maximize sensor performance. These findings were verified through practical measurements using Nafion™ 117 sensitive material.

💧 Application-specific Insights: They also discovered that certain substrates are optimal for low-humidity detection, while others are better suited for a wider humidity range. This is crucial for tailoring sensor applications to specific needs.

The quasi-solid-state electrolyte, particularly one based on PVDF–HFP, is a promising solution to prevent the volatility and leakage issues associated with liquid organic electrolytes, offering wide electrochemical stability and excellent thermal properties. This research introduces a PVDF–HFP@Nafion-based quasi-solid polymer electrolyte, which boasts good flame resistance and hydrophobic properties, achieving high sodium ion transference and stable cycling at higher current densities in Na–O2 batteries due to the synergistic effects with M-GSS/Na.
