We send a warm welcome to Troy Townley, our new Product Specialist for SIGMA Polymer Enclosures, covering Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma and Western Tennessee. Based in the Baton Rouge, LA area, Troy brings 20 years of experience in the waterworks and enclosures sales sector. He is passionate about customer relationships, and sums up his approach to sales and service in one word: “Personal. I know that relationships are the cornerstone of this business. I’ve been in the industry for a long time and I understand the value of sitting with someone and having a conversation to understand their problems and their pain points so I can offer solutions. I really prioritize face-to-face meetings and for that reason, I spend a lot of time on the road making personal visits.”

Southwest Regional Sales Manager Greg McAdams comments on the hire: “SIGMA Waterworks is devoting considerable resources to the Polymer Enclosures Division and making investments to ensure that our customers across the country are serviced efficiently. By bringing Troy on board, we are increasing our capacity in this region and we will be better able to meet specs, tailor products to particular municipalities, and respond quickly.”

Troy holds a Business Degree from Southeastern University. When he is not serving SIGMA Waterworks customers in the South, he travels with his wife, and spends his leisure time with his four children and four grandchildren. An accomplished musician, Troy plays guitar, standup bass and piano, and he also enjoys hunting and fishing.

SIGMA was pleased to support Ferguson Waterworks when a contractor ran into trouble while reinstalling one of our 54” restraints. The project, a water main in Etowah, Georgia required tying a 54” pipe to 48” pipe using a reducer and replacing a spool. When the re-installation was attempted, a leak occurred and the contractor reached out to their supplier, Ferguson.

Jack Boyko, Sales Project Manager for Ferguson’s Strategic Infrastructure Group in the Southeast explains, “My customer had an issue with a leak, which was actually stemming from a product that SIGMA didn’t supply. But it was being connected to the SIGMA restraint and we have always had good support from the SIGMA Engineering team. I reached out to Satheesh Chandrasekaran and he was able to troubleshoot. He figured out the problem and provided the recommended solution to fix the leak.”

Satheesh comments, “The contractor reached out to us regarding reinstallation instructions and we provided them. They followed the instructions but found a leak in the seal, so they needed additional support. We requested photos and videos and we were able to identify the issue, guide them through how to correct it, and the line was restored successfully.”

Jack continues: “In my five years with Ferguson, I have always had great service from SIGMA and I’ve never had an issue with their quality and performance. This was a rare situation with a reinstall, and they were able to remedy the issue and restore the line quickly.”

We send a warm welcome to Phil Boyle, our new Product Specialist for SIGMA Polymer Enclosures in the Pacific Northwest, covering Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Alaska. Based in the Portland, OR area, Phil has covered this territory in the enclosures space for the last several years. Prior to that, he worked as a regional sales manager in other sectors, so he understands the products, the unique water challenges in the west, and the customer base. He is passionate about customer relationships and explains his approach to sales and service: “Building relationships is key—customers need to know us to trust us. I am committed to making sure that we are at the center of every opportunity in the region by cultivating and nurturing customers and expanding on my existing relationships.”

Western Regional Sales Manager Jon Taft comments on the hire: “SIGMA Waterworks is devoting considerable resources to the Polymer Enclosures Division and making investments to ensure that our customers in the Pacific Northwest are serviced efficiently. By bringing Phil on board, we are increasing our capacity in the region and we will be better able to meet specs, tailor products to particular municipalities, and respond quickly.”

Phil explains what drew him to SIGMA Waterworks: “SIGMA has set the standard as a market leader. I wanted to join SIGMA because of the growth opportunities here and the culture of innovation. I am thrilled to be part of such a great team.”

Originally from Dublin, Ireland, Phil emigrated to the US nearly two decades ago, as he puts it “Chasing a girl. Now we are married with three kids, 2 dogs, 3 cats, and a goldfish.”

Phil holds a Business Degree from Griffith College in Dublin. When he is not serving SIGMA’s enclosure customers in the PNW, he enjoys getting outside with the dogs, spending time with his family, going to games, and playing football (or as it is known locally, soccer).

Exciting things are happening at SIGMA Waterworks!

This week, we brought our team together for a company-wide Town Hall to officially introduce our new branding and share a look at what’s ahead.

We also got to celebrate three of our newest patent holders — Steve Kreiser, Satheesh Chandrasekaran, and Stuart Box. Congratulations to all three on this well-deserved recognition!

It was a great day celebrating our people, our innovation, and this next chapter for SIGMA Waterworks.

Fresh New Look, Same Great Company

In the coming months we are introducing new branding and bringing the company together under one name:

𝗦𝗜𝗚𝗠𝗔 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗪𝗢𝗥𝗞𝗦.

Over forty years we have picked up a lot of names: SIGMA Corporation, SIGMA International, SIGMA OEM, and a few others. Each one made sense at the time, but together they have become complicated. This business has always been simple: we serve the water and wastewater industry, and we do it with people our customers know by name. Our name should be just as clear. SIGMA stays, because it carries forty years of trust. Waterworks says exactly what we do. The SIGMA emblem stays with us too. It is cast on our products all over the continent, and we are refreshing it, not walking away from it. Our new logo is designed to reflect the rebrand to SIGMA Waterworks: the blue color highlights water; the square, symmetrical shape indicates strength and stability—41 years and counting! The arrow conveys forward motion and progress, while also suggesting the flow of water, and finally, the drop of water is at the heart of the logo because water is at the heart of everything we do.

Just as important as the new look and new name is what is not changing. Same company. Same people. Same products. Same commitments that have carried us this far: core values, customer service, and quality our customers can count on. This company was built by people who answer the phone, solve the problem, and get it on the truck. That is who we are under any name, and it is why this one fits. We are proud of the story it tells, and we look forward to rolling out the story through our new branding in the coming months.
