Fall’s coming but don’t wait until next spring to replace that old AC or furnace. Government mandates in the HVAC industry that start January 1st, 2025, will increase HVAC prices next year up to a whopping 30% or more. Other reasons to make that investment now and lower your utility bills:

(1.) Next year the government will mandate flammable refrigerants which will require new safety systems that will cost you money.

(2.) Don’t be the guinea pig testing these new units.

(3.) Start saving money on fuel this fall and winter.

(4.) Most of our systems qualify for a federal tax credit of 30% of the total install price up to $2,000.00. If you buy now you can get your credit as soon as February.

Recently we replaced Verizon's RTU in the Walmart shopping center with a new Lennox Packaged unit. SPH also services rooftop units and provides annual maintenance contracts. Contracts are extremely important for rooftop system. Most landlords require annual maintenance on RTU's to help prevent catastrophic failures that could cause property damage. If you don't have an annual maintenance contract on your RTU(s) spring is a great time to start one and get your unit serviced after a long winter. Make sure your system is ready for the hot summer ahead.

Every spring too many of our neighbor's go out and hook their hose up to water the spring flowers or wash thier cars only to come back inside to water all over the floor. Several things can happen over the winter to your hose bib. Maybe the biggest cause is leaving the hose on. That will make your hose bib crack almost everytime. Frost-free hose bibs are designen for the water to run out after you turn the bib off. When the watet can't run out it tends to freeze the bib right after the shutoff on the inside of the house. That means the bib does not start leaking untill you turn it on from outside. The way to save yourself from a mess is to have someone inside and outside to check for leaks the first time you turn it on.
