Warehouse Operator for Brown Builders, a Building Supply Company

Responsibilities:
- Hours: 6 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday
- Picking, Loading and Checking ALL orders going out for delivery and pickup
- Ensuring ALL deliveries of materials are counted correctly and put away
- On some occasions, delivering materials will be necessary (No CDL is required)
- Work with the front office and purchasing manager to coordinate deliveries
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Schedule and oversee the warehouse team and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention

Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 to 5 Years of experience with a forklift
- Knowledge of or experience with shipping and receiving
- Experience managing operations, workers, and inventory in a warehouse
- Experience or skill performing order processing operations related to storing and retrieving goods within a warehouse distribution center

We are looking for experienced CDL Class B Licensed delivery drivers who live in Long Island to make deliveries to the 5 Boroughs, Westchester, and of course Long Island. A clean drivers license is a must. Union wages, medical, dental etc.

Again, we are looking for a driver who LIVES IN Long Island.

Firstly, we hope that this post finds you and your families safe and healthy. Unfortunately, this virus has taken a few of our long time customers, so our thoughts and prayers go out to all of you who've lost loved ones due to this horrific disease.

To Our Valued Customers,

Nothing is more important to us than the safety and well being of our customers, employees and their families. This is a stressful time for all. The most important thing is to remain calm, but also cautious.

Today, the Governor of New York mandates all non-essential businesses have their workforce remain home. Governor Cuomo declares our business to be essential; therefore, we are here as always to provide you with all of our products and services.

We are taking many measures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for everyone including performing periodic, daily cleaning throughout our facility and delivery trucks; having many staff members work remotely as well as staggering work hours in our shop and warehouse and anything else deemed advisable to promote social distancing.
