Construction progressing nicely at 216 E Patrick Street, Frederick. Formally this building was home to the Eagles Club. Now undergoing a complete renovation and addition that will include a new restaurant, event venue and roof top deck. Selective demolition is complete. New work including interior walls, ceilings & utilities, footings for the addition and masonry elevator shaft in progress. Framing for the addition & structure for the roof top deck will begin shortly.

Selective interior demolition in progress at 200 E Patrick Street. The original building built around 1910 as the Frederick trolley terminal for passenger & freight use, then home to the Frederick News Post beginning in the late 1950's. Now this great old building will undergo a complete renovation transforming to its next use for hopefully the next 100 years to come. It was fun learning about this building & exposing cool old features during the process. We were especially excited to find and expose the old trolley bed that ran thru the building (see in pics). The trolley rails have long since been removed but you can see the old electrical overhead trolley power wire supports still intact. We have some cool old historic photos of this building that we will share in future postings.

It is a privilege to be part of the downtown Frederick hotel & site redevelopment project. This project consists of the new hotel & conference center building, 200 E Patrick St building & 216 E Patrick St building. Although we are not constructing the new hotel building, we are renovating/restoring/reconstructing 200 E Patrick St (old trolley & news post building) and 216 E Patrick St (old Eagles Club building). These are both very exciting projects and it will be fun to watch these old buildings with lots of Frederick history be brought back to new life again.
