When we asked the students about their favorite activity, one student excitedly asked, “Can I just say everything was my favorite?” 🥹❤️ We think that says it all!

From engineering and experimenting to problem-solving and discovering new possibilities, our time together was filled with curiosity, creativity, and excitement.

Thank you, Mrs. Martinez and Lacoste Elementary, for spending the week with us! We loved watching these young minds explore, learn, and imagine what’s possible. Who knows? We may have a few future scientists, engineers, and innovators in the making! 🚀✨

🚀☀️ What an incredible week at STARBASE Jackson Barracks Summer STEM Camp – June Session!

Our campers spent the week exploring STEM through hands-on activities and unforgettable experiences. They launched rockets, created slime, made elephant toothpaste, participated in team-building challenges, and learned valuable problem-solving skills while making new friends along the way.

Campers also had the opportunity to visit the Louisiana National Guard Museum and learn from our local firefighters about fire safety, emergency response, and careers in public service.

Thank you to all of our campers, families, guest speakers, and community partners for making this week such a success. We loved seeing the curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm of every student!

🌟 Calling All STEM & STEAM Professionals! 🌟

STARBASE Louisiana at Jackson Barracks is looking for guest speakers to inspire our summer campers!

We're seeking professionals with careers in STEM or STEAM fields who can spend 45–60 minutes engaging students ages 9–11. Share your career journey, talk about what you do, explain how STEM/STEAM is part of your work, and motivate students to dream big about their futures.

Our campers love interactive presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and opportunities to ask questions about real-world careers. We also welcome guest speakers throughout the regular school year. Whether you want to volunteer once or on multiple occasions, we'd love to connect with you.
