NASA engineers are celebrating: they have completed the SLS Core Stage and adapters in the South Vertical Assembly Building. New Spray-on foam will be applied, before shipping the rocket part to the Kennedy Space Center for launch.

Out engineers have completed preliminary manufacture and structural assembly of the NASA Space Launch System interstage bracket - also known as the inter-tank. Seen here in the South Vertical Assembly Building, the rocket part is being hosted by an overhead crane onto a jig for inspection, where engineers check for imperfections and other areas that may need fixing. The part will soon be shipped to Kennedy Space Center's Vehicle Assembly Building for final stacking for SLS.

Inside the South Vertical Assembly Building of the rocket factory, Engineers finished the welding and fabrication of the Space Launch System liquid oxygen tank, that will fly on Exploration Mission-2.

You might notice that we employ a variety of diverse workers, from diffeterent races and backgrounds. With all their help, their skills and contributions to NASA's SLS program is a vital asset.

Trivia: this factory is so clean; the floors are so polished, you can see your reflection in the factory.
