The Cut-Off Neighborhood in Algiers has been dreaming about a community pool for quite a long time, and we're excited to help make this dream a reality. Work began earlier this year to construct the new Algiers Indoor Covered Swimming Facility, and we're proud of the progress our team is making! Since breaking ground in January, the structural concrete foundations and concrete pool shell have been placed into the ground, and the steel structure is currently being erected. We're on-track to complete this project on schedule in late September. We can't wait to share more updates!

⚠️ HEAT SAFETY ALERT FOR GREATER NEW ORLEANS CONSTRUCTION JOBSITES ⚠️ Potential for Heat Exhaustion or Heat Stroke

Today’s heat index is expected to reach 96°F or higher across the Greater New Orleans/Bayou region.

These conditions can quickly become dangerous — especially during prolonged physical activity, direct sunlight exposure, and high humidity.

✅ JOBSITE HEAT SAFETY REMINDERS:
💧 Hydrate before you feel thirsty
🧊 Encourage electrolyte replacement throughout the day
👕 Wear lightweight, breathable, light-colored clothing
⏰ Schedule strenuous tasks during early morning or late afternoon hours
🏗️ Increase shaded and cooled recovery breaks
❄️ Use air-conditioned spaces or cooling stations whenever possible
👀 Watch for signs of dizziness, confusion, nausea, excessive sweating, or fatigue among crew members

Landis is proud to announce that three members of our team recently received certificates of completion from the Uncommon Leadership program, hosted by ABC New Orleans/Bayou Chapter and facilitated by Human Dynamics, Inc. Superintendent Brian Wallace, Estimator Zach Stallings, and Assistant Project Manager Alex Genois completed the six-week program, refining and sharpening skills and leadership traits. We are extremely proud of their efforts to embrace continued improvement and learning, helping to bring even great value to our company and our clients!
