All ready for Friday after wrapping up our webinar! A huge thank you to The Center for Forensic Science Research & Education and University of Central Florida for their work on this interlaboratory study. And of course, additional thanks to RTI International and the Forensic Technology Center of Excellence for hosting the webinar.

Here’s to more scientific collaborations in the future! If you missed the presentation or have questions, please reach out to [email protected].

Join our recent MSFB grad, Tina Nichols, this afternoon at 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM Eastern for a presentation on Interlaboratory Comparison of SpermX and Conventional Differential Extractions.

Scientists from three participating laboratories - University of Central Florida (UCF), Center for Forensic Science Research and Education (CFSRE), and InnoGenomics Technologies (IGT) - will present results obtained from mock sexual assault samples analyzed using the SpermX (SX) method and their in-house differential extraction (DE) method.

All three laboratories processed identical sets of female:male mixture swabs at various ratios in triplicate and will present their experiences and insights from this study.

Missed us at AFDAA and the Green Mountain DNA conference? We got you covered. Some of the key points of our SpermX interlaboratory study have been published in ForensicMag! Learn how SpermX can increase your s***m fraction extraction efficiency by up to 6X to help you solve more cases!

Researchers have developed a new method that is up to six times more efficient at extracting male s***m fraction DNA profiles from sexual assault kits—particularly when analyzing low level s***m samples.

Come see us next week at AFDAA in Houston! InnoGenomics will be presenting our latest SpermX study. This was an exciting collaboration with the Ballantyne lab at the University of Central Florida and The Center for Forensic Science Research & Education.

Spoiler alert: all three labs found that SpermX outperformed differential extraction both quantitatively and in terms of STR results. Click below to see the meeting agenda:

We can't wait to share our SpermX validation data with the forensic community! Our paper is currently in peer review, but check out our blog post for a sneak peak.

We are thrilled to announce the completion of the validation of our SpermX methodology. With data under review for publication, we hope our product will pave the way for swifter justice for victims of sexual assault.
