Flexible solar panels, also known as flexible solar cells or thin-film solar panels, are a type of photovoltaic module that can bend and conform to various surfaces. Unlike rigid solar panels, flexible solar panels are made with lightweight and flexible materials, such as thin layers of silicon, polymer, or other photovoltaic materials, which allows them to be mounted on curved or irregular surfaces, such as boats, backpacks, or even clothing.
However, flexible solar panels tend to be less efficient and have a shorter lifespan than traditional solar panels. They are also more sensitive to temperature changes and can be easily damaged by punctures or cuts. As such, they may not be suitable for all applications.
