Harlem River Rangers

Harlem River Rangers We are an outreach program using media and networking to send a message about the Harlem River community and the environment.

The Harlem River Rangers will be one of the beginning steps to educate the local community about the working group's efforts in transforming the Harlem River's reputation. The students will be creating and maintaining a page, twitter account, website, email and Youtube channel. During this time, they will learn proper networking skills, environmental and media communication along with med

ia production skills. They will learn various ways of researching including researching on the web, interviews, newspaper archives, even present day articles. Teamwork will be encouraged as well as working independently when needed, gaining both strong introverted and extroverted skills. The Harlem River Working Group is a group whose intentions are to help create an easier access to and from the Harlem River. They have recently been working on getting a greenway created along the River, eventually connecting to other greenways including both local and state parks
