Switzerland Turned an Alpine Dam Into a Solar Power Plant—8,200 Feet Above Sea Level. ☀️🏔️

Nearly 5,000 solar panels line the Muttsee dam in the Swiss Alps, putting an existing concrete wall to work generating renewable electricity.

The project, called AlpinSolar, uses its mountain setting to its advantage: less lowland fog, snow that reflects extra sunlight onto the panels, and a steep surface that helps snow slide away.

Developed by Axpo and IWB and fully operational since 2022, the installation produces around 3 million kilowatt-hours annually.

It was designed to generate nearly half its annual solar electricity during the winter half-year—when Switzerland particularly needs additional power.

What if a time machine is possible in theory—but almost impossible to build?

Theoretical physicist Michio Kaku once made a bold claim: time travel, once confined to science fiction, is now “simply an engineering problem.”

Einstein’s relativity gives that idea a foothold. Time can pass at different rates depending on speed and gravity, so a limited form of travel into the future is real physics. Some mathematical solutions also describe paths back through time.

But an equation is a long way from a working machine. The wormholes proposed as possible shortcuts have never been observed, and scientists do not know whether one could be created or kept open. Traveling into the past raises difficult questions about cause and effect, too.

Kaku’s quote captures the excitement of exploring what physics might allow. It does not mean a time machine is waiting for the right engineer.

A SHIPPING MISTAKE MAY HAVE PUT AMERICA’S F-35 STEALTH TECHNOLOGY IN CHINESE HANDS! ✈️🇨🇳

A shipment containing components from one of the world’s most advanced fighter jets was supposed to travel from Australia to the United States. Instead, it mysteriously ended up in Hong Kong.

According to Bloomberg, Chinese authorities subsequently took possession of the components, which reportedly remain unreturned.

The shipment, transported by UPS in late May, reportedly included an F-35 cockpit canopy and weapons-bay door. Both components were coated with radar-absorbing material designed to help the aircraft evade detection.

The cargo reportedly passed through South Korea before being diverted to Hong Kong. How and why that happened remains unclear.

The Pentagon is now investigating the incident and working to recover the equipment, while Australian authorities are examining their involvement.

Although Australia’s defence minister has downplayed concerns about the sensitivity of the missing parts, the incident raises questions about security across the global supply chain supporting the F-35 program.

There is currently no confirmed evidence that China deliberately redirected the shipment or extracted classified technology from the components.

But the bigger question remains: How could parts of a highly advanced stealth fighter end up in the wrong country and remain unrecovered for months?

AI Data Centers Are Consuming Enormous Amounts Of Electricity — But Should American Families Pay For The Infrastructure They Need?

In a 417–3 vote, the U.S. House of Representatives passed the bipartisan Ratepayer Protection Act on September 16, 2026, aiming to protect households from additional electricity infrastructure costs associated with massive AI data centers.

As artificial intelligence expands, enormous server facilities require new power generation, transmission lines, substations, and other grid upgrades. Those investments can potentially increase electricity costs for ordinary consumers.

The proposed legislation would require state utility regulators to consider standards that make large electricity users cover the additional infrastructure costs created by their operations.

However, the bill does not automatically impose a nationwide ban on shifting those costs to households. States would retain authority over whether to adopt the proposed standards, and the legislation still requires further action before becoming law.

The debate highlights an increasingly important question as America's AI infrastructure expands: who should pay for the electricity infrastructure needed to support it?

Should AI companies be required to cover the full cost of the power infrastructure their data centers need, rather than allowing those expenses to be shared with ordinary households?

5,000 GALLONS OF DIESEL LEAKED FROM A DATA CENTER — AND A NEW JERSEY CREEK PAID THE PRICE.

A major environmental cleanup was launched after approximately 5,000 gallons of diesel escaped from an Equinix data center in Secaucus, New Jersey, on September 11, 2026.

The fuel leaked from an outdoor storage tank, with some entering Anderson Creek, a waterway connected to the Hackensack River in the environmentally sensitive Meadowlands.

For the First Time in History, Scientists Have Traced Radio Signals Directly to a Planet Beyond Our Solar System!

Astronomers have reported a remarkable breakthrough after detecting repeating radio emissions from Beta Pictoris b, a massive alien world located approximately 63 light-years from Earth.

Using South Africa's powerful MeerKAT radio telescope, researchers identified radio bursts originating from the planet itself rather than its parent star, something previous observations had struggled to establish.

The signals appear to be generated by intense auroral activity associated with the planet's magnetic field. Scientists estimate that the magnetic field at the emission source is at least 1,250 gauss, far stronger than Jupiter's.

This discovery could open an entirely new way to study distant worlds, allowing astronomers to investigate planetary magnetic fields, atmospheric protection, and the internal structures of planets that cannot be explored directly.
