We welcomed 14 families to the Town’s Energize Bedford Recognition Event, honoring local homeowners who have made their homes energy efficient. These energy saving improvements include added insulation, air-sealing and upgraded heating and cooling systems; geothermal or ductless mini-splits. We were happy to commend the newest Energized Bedford homeowners and to recognize the entire 221 homes completed to date in Bedford that have reduced their energy waste. These energy efficient homes are helping our community reach our target climate goals. Collectively by year, these 221 homeowners have reduced 442 Metric Tons of CO2, the equivalent of taking 74 cars off the road and are saving $419,812 on their home energy bills.

We had such a WONDERFUL night inducting the latest class of Energize Bedford and HeatSmart Westchester Homeowners at last night's Town of Bedford Board Meeting.

These homeowners have lowered their carbon footprint and their home energy bills by adding insulation and/or updating their heating and cooling systems to geothermal or air-source heat pumps!
