Yamo Pharmaceuticals is developing L1-79, the first therapy observed to reduce the core symptoms of autism as assessed by commonly accepted and validated psychometric tests. L1-79 is a daily oral treatment that is a modified formulation of an agent approved by the U.S. In preliminary testing, L1-79 patients, ranging in age from toddler to adult, have exhibited rapid improvement in the core symptom

What does the increase in prevalence of ASD diagnoses mean to us? It's simple. More families and more individuals need support.

People may disagree on the cause of Autism, or why numbers are increasing, but one thing is for sure-- every diagnosis represents a real person, a real family, and a real need for understanding, resources, and community. Our responsibility is not to debate the numbers, but to meet the growing need with compassion, action, and commitment. That's why we're here.

L1-79 is an innovative therapeutic designed to address core symptoms of autism-- particularly challenges related to socialization.

L1-79 works by modulating the catecholamine pathways, which influence critical brain functions such as mood, attention, motor skills, and social behavior.

In recent clinical trial Phase 2b, L1-79 showed the potential to improve effects of socialization-related challenges as well as the three most bothersome symptoms identified by caregivers, with no serious safety concerns noted. L1-79 is an investigational new drug.

It will not be a cure – but it may represent a new opportunity for those seeking meaningful support.
