Thailand has rolled out its first AI-powered police robot! Named “Pol Col Nakhonpathom Plod Phai,” the robot made its debut during the Songkran Festival to boost public safety in Nakhon Pathom. Equipped with 360-degree cameras and real-time facial recognition, the “AI Police Cyborg 1.0” monitors crowds to detect high-risk individuals and possible threats. China’s first humanoid robot training center will officially begin operations in July in Shanghai’s Zhangjiang area. Spanning over 5,000 square meters, the facility will train different types of humanoid robots for use in daily life and workplaces. It will also allow developers to share and use large-scale data.

According to Global Times, over 100 types of robots from more than a dozen companies are already being trained at the center for use in industries like manufacturing, healthcare, and agriculture.

The center focuses on 10 key areas, including home chores, factory work, and tourism services. It’s currently in a testing phase, generating 20,000 to 30,000 data entries each day. Once fully running, it could hit 50,000 daily entries and aims to reach over 10 million entries by year’s end.

As robots get better at handling real-life tasks, they may soon help or even replace humans in various jobs.
