Yesterday, we hosted another in-house training session, continuing our focus on understanding and interpreting construction documents. The session covered key topics such as RFIs, submittals, and delegated design, along with a review of essential subcontractor-generated documents used daily on job sites, including site safety plans, logistics, means and methods, crane operations, tenant protection plans, and utilities.

It was a well-attended event, bringing together team members from across multiple departments and reinforcing our commitment to ongoing learning and collaboration.

We’re excited to share progress from our New Entry Vestibule project at Bronx Community College.
Recently, our team successfully mobilized a third-shift operation to install structural steel—an approach driven by unexpected existing site conditions that limited conventional installation methods. After evaluating our options, we determined that a knuckle boom was the safest and most effective solution.
To prioritize the safety of students, faculty, and on-site workers, all steel installation was completed during off-hours while the campus was closed. This strategic decision minimized disruption and required careful coordination and pre-planning across all teams.
This milestone reflects what strong collaboration and proactive problem-solving can achieve. Appreciation to our project partners—DASNY, Dattner Architects, YAS, and Freedom Iron Works—for their continued teamwork and dedication.
