On a tight waterfront lot nestled between neighboring properties and a shared right of way, the owner wanted privacy while maintaining wide open views of the bay. The house was conceived as a cluster of solid volumes at the front that transform into expansive glass portals framing waterfront views. A true hidden oasis!

STUDIO 3H is a New York City based design studio delivering bespoke home and hospitality projects from concept through construction. We are a small yet fast growing studio looking for a talented and enthusiastic architectural designer with 4+ years experience to join our team. We currently have several contemporary residences just under way and this is an opportunity to get in on the ground and see a project through from start to finish. You would work directly with the sole principal to develop the design, documentation and all aspects needed to execute the project. This involves consistent communication with the client and contractor throughout the process as well.

While we like to work hard (from 9-6), we also believe in the importance of balance and well-being. With this position comes the following perks:
- Work Remotely (workstation and software will be provided)
- Summer Fridays (2 Fridays off per month)
- Competitive Salary + Benefits
- Paid Time Off

The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Design studies in early phases (Space Planning, Diagramming)
- Manage and produce drawing sets for permitting and construction
- Coordination with necessary consultants
- Site visits during construction phase (all current projects are in Long Island/Hamptons)

Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field
- 4+ years minimum professional experience
- Ability to prepare and develop drawing packages
- Strong Autocad skills (Rhino & Revit a plus)
- Knowledge and experience with exterior and interior details
- Excellent communication skills, fluent in English-spoken and written
- Can take direction and self organize to execute tasks
- Some experience with high end residential projects a plus
- Licensure a plus (but not required)
- Must be authorized to work in the US
