A friend is a big DIY on her little farm. When she put the wire fence up she looped it around the post and back to the second one. So there wouldn't be any cut/sharp wire edges for a horse to hurt itself when walking through the gate. And or rubbing on.
So there is a pocket to throw stones in that constantly come to the surface over time.
Given time it will fill up and make a nice looking stone pillar made with little effort.
Need to ask her if this was done by "design". Or she realized this was a convenient place to put the stones.

My husband looked at me like I'd completely lost it when I dragged home that pile of lumber last month. "What exactly are you planning to build?" he asked, eyeing the wood like it might attack him.
"A proper house for Max," I said, already mentally measuring the space along our fence line.
He laughed. Actually laughed. "The dog? You're building the dog a house? He's got a perfectly good crate inside."
But Max isn't just a dog. He's the one who stayed with me through chemo when everyone else got tired of hearing about my bad days. He's the one who laid his head on my lap every single morning I couldn't get out of bed. And now that I'm finally feeling like myself again, I wanted to do something for him. Something that said thank you in a language only I could speak.
I'd been browsing through the DIY groups on the Tedooo app lately, getting ideas for backyard projects. That's where I saw someone's incredible chicken coop with a little attached run, and it got me thinking... why can't Max have something amazing too?
Started with a simple sketch. Then measurements. Then cutting wood in the driveway while neighbors walked by giving me those "bless her heart" looks. My hands remembered skills I didn't know I had. My dad taught me carpentry basics before he died, and somehow, holding that saw again felt like holding his hand.
The pool was my husband's idea, actually. He came home one evening, saw the structure taking shape, and said, "If you're going this far, might as well add a splash pool. It's gonna hit 95 degrees this summer."
I found the perfect little pool through a seller on Tedooo app who makes custom pet accessories. She even helped me figure out the right size and sent installation tips.
Three weeks later, there it was. Max's villa. Complete with a covered area for shade, a comfy pillow bed, a water bowl, and yes, his very own splash pool.
When Max first saw it, he walked right in, circled twice, flopped onto the pillow, and looked at me like, "Finally. You get it."
My husband took this photo yesterday and said, "You know, I think the dog's living better than we are."
Maybe he is. But if anyone deserves luxury, it's the furry friend who saved me when I couldn't save myself.

Stop sharing your hard-earned vegetables with neighborhood pests and start growing a massive harvest in a protected garden that looks like a high-end estate.
Standard garden beds are wide open to hungry deer and birds that can eat an entire crop of tomatoes in a single night. Bending over for hours to pull weeds or pick vegetables leads to a very sore back and tired knees. Loose soil on the ground often contains rocks or clay that make it hard for roots to grow deep and strong.
This screened enclosure creates a safe fortress where your plants can grow without being nibbled by squirrels or rabbits. The tall raised beds bring the dirt up to your waist so you can tend to your garden comfortably while standing. A U-shaped design allows you to reach every single plant from one spot without ever stepping on the soil and packing it down. The beautiful sage green color turns a simple vegetable patch into a stunning focal point for your backyard.
Start by building a U-shaped base using two by twelve cedar boards stacked three high for a deep planting area. Use four by four cedar posts at every corner and extend them six feet into the air to create the roof frame. Connect the tops with two by four rafters to give the structure a classic peak shape.
Paint all the wood with a high quality exterior sage green paint to prevent rot and keep it looking fresh. Stretch half inch galvanized hardware cloth over the entire frame and roof then secure it with heavy duty metal staples. Build a simple walk-in door with a wooden frame and cover it with the same wire mesh to keep out even the smallest birds.
Fill your beds with a mixture of organic peat moss and black compost to give your plants the best nutrients. Plant tall varieties like Celebrity tomatoes and Lacinato kale in the back where they have room to climb. Use stainless steel screws for the whole build because they will not rust or cause the green paint to peel over time.
Wipe down the wire mesh with a damp cloth every spring to remove dust so your plants get the most sunlight possible.

New possible customer. They kicked out the previous tile guy due to inconsistent joints in the main floor. But take a peek at how they did the liner. Im not to knowledgeable in using pan liners. But im almost certain there's no preslope under it along with the complete lack of care and its not behind the wall board. Curbs wood also It's just a mess.

Trying to avoid a fail here…
Planning my first DIY bathroom tile. The ceiling on the right is 1” taller than the part on the left. Tiling from tub to ceiling. I really don’t want to take the ceiling down to shin so am wondering just how bad 36” of white 3x6 subway tiles will look with top row scribed (with light gray grout).
If any of you have photo examples of ~1” offset & scribing I’d appreciate!

“This corner gap is off—it’s unacceptable. I want it replaced.”
That’s the feedback I got from a customer about my wall tile. Based on your professional opinion, how does my work look? Is this actually an issue, or is the customer being overly picky?
For context, I’ve got 5+ years of experience working with tile.

Alright I’m gonna say it… this looks like one of those projects where you either end up with a masterpiece… or a lifelong lesson 😭💀. The pattern itself?? Kinda fire. The ambition?? Respect. But WHY does it feel like every tile is arguing with the one next to it?? 😂
I know those clips are doing overtime trying to hold this whole situation together like “please just stay aligned” 😅
And don’t get me wrong—I see the vision. I REALLY do. But right now it’s giving “trust the process” a little too hard. Like… are we trusting or are we just hoping at this point?? 🫠
Also the corner?? Yeah we gotta talk about that corner 😭
Be honest… is this gonna come together clean once it’s grouted… or are we looking at a “don’t stand too close to the wall” type of finish??
No hate, just real talk—would YOU leave it or redo it now before it’s too late?? 👀

Installing myself.
Hello there! I want to make sure I’m going in the right direction with this pattern before installing. Any suggestions?
