Adia Rothschild Mines

Statement on Sourcing, Extraction, and Intention

Adia Rothschild Mines is an independently operated, small-scale American mining practice founded on direct knowledge, personal labor, and principled restraint.

Since 2014, I have independently mined and collected gemstones primarily within the United States, with a concentration in the New York region. With formal education in geography and geology, I approach the land with technical understanding and respect for mineral composition, soil behavior, and natural formations. Approximately ninety-five percent of the stones used in my work are mined directly by my own hands.

The remaining small percentage—approximately five percent—are sourced from reputable, established mines or dealers in regions such as India, Russia, or other internationally recognized gemstone-producing areas. These acquisitions are selective, limited, and chosen with discernment.

My extraction methods are strictly small-scale and low-impact. I utilize hand tools and surface alluvial techniques, primarily along riverbanks and coastal areas. There is no industrial excavation, no heavy machinery, and no invasive land disruption. Soil structures remain intact. Landscapes are left visually and physically unchanged. The practice is deliberate, restrained, and environmentally respectful.

There is no exploitative labor within Adia Rothschild Mines. I perform the labor myself. There are no intermediary extraction teams, no outsourced digging operations, and no mass production systems. From mineral discovery to final use, the chain is direct and personal.

The primary gemstones mined include sapphires, rubies, garnets, and diamonds, along with a broader range of collected mineral specimens. While my inventory has grown steadily through daily independent work since 2014, it remains inherently limited by rarity, geological conditions, and natural availability. Quantity is never prioritized over integrity.

These stones are principally reserved for use within House of Elora and Zygote Studios LLC projects. They are incorporated into limited editions, artistic works, couture objects, and long-term creative endeavors. Select private sales or direct trades may be made available on a small, discretionary basis. There is no large-scale commercial distribution model.

Adia Rothschild Mines does not participate in conflict sourcing. All stones mined directly are sourced within the United States through personal collection. Any externally sourced stones are selected from reputable operations. The model is not volume-driven commerce; it is disciplined acquisition.

This practice is rooted in stewardship rather than extraction. The earth is not treated as a resource to be depleted, but as a geological archive approached with study, patience, and restraint. Mining, in this context, is not industrial—it is observational, technical, and personal.

Each stone carries documented origin under my direct custody from discovery forward. There is no anonymous chain of custody. There is no speculative bulk trade. There is simply direct knowledge of source and process.

Adia Rothschild Mines exists to supply materials of integrity for long-term creative and artistic use. It is a practice defined by independence, environmental respect, limited extraction, and principled autonomy.

4 carat rough stone. Very very small inclusions (vvs clarity) … white stone… oval shaped (precut)

Stuck indoors in the storm… cutting stones is the perfect activity…

Have you ever found an industrial diamond??? Don’t throw it away!! Take it to a lapidary and see the wonders that come from it!! They are not easily sold because they are harder to process than gem quality but definitely worth the effort!! … I have a lot of clients who buy industrial grade so please don’t throw away your stones. When cut, they can be worth just as much!
