The 2024 Winter Solstice sets the stage for new beginnings on December 21 at 4:21am EST as the Sun enters Capricorn and is the shortest day of the year. We now move towards the welcomed light of longer days. It symbolizes the rebirth of the sun marking the beginning of a new solar cycle and a fresh start.

A part of Druidic and Pagan traditions, it is one of 8 major Sabbats that honor the turning of the seasons based on the sun’s cycle and is considered a time of death and rebirth. Neptune has been flowing through its home in watery Pisces since February of 2012. As the planet of spirituality, intuition, imagination, divine inspiration, deception, illusion, dreams, compassion, empathy and the arts, it’s influence on Planet Earth connects us to what's not visible on the surface and operates beyond the tangible physical world. Neptune’s power is also the source of creative imagination in the form of art, music, poetry and film.

In transit, Neptune dissolves or inspires what it touches. In its highest form, dissolving makes way for the new, shining a light on what you’ve missed, improving intuition, and inspiring our creativity. In challenging aspect, we have a hard time seeing what's really there as fog sets in.
